Our team is aiming to generate hippocampal organoid and elucidate the mechanism to recapitulate complexed hippocampal region including medial pallium and cortical hem as organoids by self-organized manner. Toward this aim, the team first confirm the condition for generation of hippocampal organoid, and then they focus on the timing of emergence of dorsal organizer during early phase of hippocampal organoid induction using 4D imaging technique. Through finding out the trigger of the emergence of the organizer by single cell RNA-seq analysis, they want to know the essence of self-organization in hippocampal development.
